The SOTAbots' mission is to create and sustain a cohesive student-led high school FRC robotics team that embodies gracious professionalism and values individual diversity and collaboration all the while connecting with our community. Our team uses our robot and student passion to inspire an enthusiastic appreciation of science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through local outreach by ways of educational programming throughout Tacoma. We want to share our passion for STEAM with all ages, and show our community that careers in STEAM fields are attainable, desirable, and vital by "encouraging more of today’s youth to become science and technology leaders". We strive to spark a passion for STEAM in underserved youth communities in Tacoma.
We have meetings every Tuesday at 4:00PM-6:30PM and every Thursday

4:00PM-6:00PM in Portable 1 at iDEA! Please check our calender

Anyone is welcome to be part of the SOTAbots! To learn more about how to join just email us at sotabots@gmail.com or drop by Portable 6 at 4 PM PST after school! Remember, we accept people from more than just our own schools, so in order to be a team member, YOUR highschool must not have their own robotics team or attend one of the 3 Tacoma Public Schools Sister Schools (SOTA, SAMi, or iDEA), maintain a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and be open to learning about more than just robotics.
